Georgia Crew competed in the 2008 Clemson Sprints Regatta on Saturday, March 22 . After an intense week of training in Florida over Spring Break, the team was ready to strut their stuff and show other schools just want Georgia Crew is all about. Seven UGA boats finished second in their heat, including a Varsity Men's single (1x), a Varsity Men's 2-, the Novice women's 8+, the Varsity Men's 4+, the Novice Women's 4+, the Varsity women's 8+, and the Mixed 4+. Five UGA boats finished first in their heat, including the Varsity Women's 4+ A, B, and C. In the Women's collegiate Varsity 4+ final heat, UGA A took first, UGA B took third, and UGA C took 5th. The light-weight Novice Women's 4+ also took first in their heat.

After a successful regatta, the team has continued training and is preparing for the John Hunter Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Saturday, April 5th.
